Hello Everyone… I hope you all had a great DMB summer! From what I have heard and seen, it looks like it was fabulous from start to finish. That is what passion and love do!!
I thought maybe I should give everyone an update as to what is going on at LJMS Art. I had so hoped to have the new website up and running by now but EVERYTHING is taking longer than expected!
***I have just put the 2007 Christmas Cards up on the website. I really like this year’s cards. They look great and you have your choice of two patterns. I had hoped to have all the new stuff at once but the website is not coming along as fast as I thought it would so I thought I had better put them up now. http://www.daveart.coolbuild.com/cards.html
***I will add the 2008 calendars within the next couple of days.
***The full website should be ready within 2 weeks or so. If it looks like it will be much longer, I will just go ahead and start adding my new things to the existing website. You will find lots of new “Special Occasion Prints” (including a “SAWG” #2, BOWA, and IBYU), several new “Limited Edition Prints”, 2-3 new original paintings as well as some surprises. I hope you will like the new website. It will definitely be easier to navigate and I think it looks good. One new feature, I think you will have fun with is the free E-Cards. Next summer, you will be able to send “Greetings from the Gorge” (or Alpine or wherever) to all your friends while you are at the shows! Fun, right? Share the love…In the meantime, I’ll cover all the “regular” occasions…birthday, get well, thinking about you….You know what, send me some suggestions.
Additionally, I will have a “Wishlist” in place so if there is something you would like for yourself, we can send your mom, best friend or girl/boyfriend a request.
***The book is 99.9% finished. I am simply waiting for a firm shipping date before starting the pre-order. After doing this, I feel like I should write a book about “writing a book”! I have learned so much. I promise you – You will LOVE this book! I am proud of what I have put together. I am proud of all these beautiful people represented in the book. I believe it has turned out just as I originally planned- as a tribute to the most fantastic band and the wonderful people who make up their fans! I am hoping that this is all resolved in the nest 3 weeks.
So did I answer all the questions? I hope so. I have never worked so hard in my life and I have never loved anything as much. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your support. I can’t tell you what it means to me when I get a letter from someone saying that they like what I do. My heart is overwhelmed…
